Horrible smell

I love how it makes skin feel after using it. It moisturising and easy to apply but what is behind the smell. I feel like I applying rubber and it stayes for a while so have to use oils to cover up the smell but still it lingers after few hours. I have 2 tubes so not sure when I get to the second one definitely not in a summer as it would make me feel sickly
