Review - getting color from your hair with baking soda... (no recommended, negative review) I'm going to change hair color again soon, and I've seen so much good about a method of decolorising without damaging. Disclaimer, I'm a certified (ex) hairdresser, so I know a little since what I'm doing. I'm always happy when I don't have to decolorize with blonde powder, so wanted to try this. I have a band of dark permanent paint, the lengths of that paint faded, and there are layers of other paint with a blonde shade underneath. My hair is fairly healthy, shiny and wavy naturally. Of course this does nothing on nature (unpainted) hair so I didn't expect that either. The recipe is as follows: A big dash of silver shampoo If you have it little anti dandruff shampoo Little bit of dishwashing liquid (dreft) Fikse amount of Baking soda (found at the baking department ah or jumbo) Little bit of 3% hydrogen peroxide These are not an exact value but everyone does it differently. Put this in your hair, wait 30 min (or longer if you want) and rinse it out. So to say so done, the good thing is bright purple but I know that, this doesn't say anything. After 30 (30/45) min rinsed out... my hair is sooo dry! Shampoo, a nourishing mask on the back, and my hair cleaned. Damn, my hair is straw... that's been a long time since it felt so bad... 😱 Instantly opened my trick box with oil, serums, sprays etc but my hair stays straw, dry and miserable. It has become a little lighter, but I absolutely can't recommend it! Next time, I'll just take another blonde, that works much better. 👎
