Armani Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme Edp Spray

In my opinion, this is the best out of the acqua di gio line, and best all round summer fragrance. It is the fragrance that when I can’t decide which to wear, I reach for this. Magnificent aquatic opening, changes during the dry down, a very pleasant and mass appealing scent. The only issue (as with most summer fragrances) is the performance. It does not last as long as I would like it to, but the projection is not bad. All in all, I would recommend.

Acqua di Giò Parfum (2024) stands out as the first true four-season fragrance in the ADG line. Unlike other flankers, it works in any setting, office, casual, or formal, thanks to its smooth, inoffensive profile and a beautifully deep dry down. The negative is performance. Longevity is poor (5-6 hours before it becomes a skin scent) in comparison to others, and projection fades rapidly, turning into a skin scent. Batch variation can also impact this, so your results may vary. Still, I recommend it as an easy-reach, everyday signature scent, perfect if you want something versatile and elegant without overthinking.

Mandarin top notes surround you as soon as the first spray leaves the nozzle. But within less than a minute this disappears into a more settled clary sage and geranium. I'm a biker so by the time I make it to my destination vetiver and patchouli are all that remain in the hot weather. I personally prefer fragrances that linger a while after I've left the spot. While this doesn't do that, the surprising part is it's a fragrance bomb every time it's applied to hot spots. A little bit of manual work with body heat makes the base notes roar out like no other. So, it keeps me smelling good throughout the day but it's not a fancy fragrance or experience to my senses. Just a good, light hearted fragrance with a knack for doing all the heavy lifting through your 8 hours at the job so you don't have to worry about social distancing every time you move a box or two!
