Complicated overkill
I am quite a fan of a number of Clarins products, but this one misses the shelf in multiple areas. Let me start with the packaging. It's a kind of big, thick compact, and you can feel it's in different parts. I don't know how to explain that, it feels bulky but not very firm at the same time. To get the cream out but open the compact and press it in, the cream comes out of a few holes, where you can pick it up with your sponge. Complicated and overkill, why this isn't just in a tubo for example is a mystery to me. This way, a lot of product will be left in the compact, because you can't decently push it out. You get through it anyway I think (and I'm really very economical), and it's really too expensive for that. Also not easy to put in your bag, too bulky and I feel it will break if you put your bag down once too hard (okay that's an exaggeration, but I don't really trust it). Then the sponge. A kind of silicone cotton wool. What an onthing... Stripes, patchyness, I get the stuff with no possibility even over my skin. It's better to smear your fingers. Last, the stuff itself. More than just a tinted day cream or light BB cream, it's not coverage. The structure feels that way too. When applied, it gives a kind of white/bluish haze. That pulls something away, I would like to say when the product withdraws, but it doesn't really. It stays a little sticky on your face and does not dry up. I feel like I'm wearing a lot of makeup all day, also because it keeps smelling pretty strong. No annoying smell, but it remains clearly present. I keep a tendency to rub my face to make it move in better, but then minimal coverage disappears altogether. No, this was a real buck... #summerhonesty
