I purchased this sponge with the idea that it is better for the environment. You can wash it at 60 degrees and you no longer need disposable pads! Purchase price is definitely to do. The sponge is hard when dry, so wet it well or it will suck full of your cleaning product. Usually it does not dry completely in 1 night/day so it is still soft. I now use a cleaning cream so it stays well on the damp sponge, so I have no experience with micelar water oid. It is large enough (10cm by 5cm approx) and can be used on 2 sides. One side I clean with it and the other side I remove the remnants cq last x over your face. Because the sponge is not smooth but just like any other sponge has holes/bumps, I get the feeling that it cleans well. It doesn't slip over your face too easily, which I sometimes have with a normal path. A nice balance between a (too) rough washcloth and (too) smooth pad or own hands. I have sensitive skin myself and it stays sweet to your face like a sponge is.
