Odour testing

Always nice when you can order a sample of air before you have the whole bottle at home and it's nothing. I was particularly curious about MAAR because it is cruelty free and vegan and also affordable. The sample bags themselves are anything but handy. Huge mess and hard to dose how much you put on. It contains enough for about 3 times, but a bit harder to store because such a bag does not close properly. I ordered all 4 scents. I found the Mina and Elise scents the most interesting by description, but I thought why not order them all right away. Nayla is a fragrance with orange blossom, floral notes mixed with neroli oil, followed by iris and vanilla. When I smell nayla, I see an older lady in front of me but still up to date. Dressed in a hip and colorful way, she strolls across the boulevard to shop and finally settle down at a terrace. She likes to pretend to be more prosperous than she is. I think the scent suits 50+ more but maybe that's because it reminds me of my grandma's scent. I don't really like it either but it doesn't suit me. After longer wear, the floral one disappears slightly and the vanilla comes out more. (Then it smells younger too) I'm less into vanilla-like scents but this one doesn't bother me very much because it's not too sweet, but not good enough for the full size. Cleo is described as an exotic perfume inspired by rose geranium. Fruity and floral, with rose and wood. Cleo pleasantly surprised me. Freshly floral, quite subtle for everyday use, yet interesting. Really a spring/summer scent. I think I'm going to buy this one. It does evaporate a bit quickly but considering the price and the fact that they have a roller version for your bag, I think it's worth applying it again halfway through the day. Élise is described as a bold and bold fragrance inspired by blackcurrants. Floral bouquet combined with sweet notes. You can smell the black currants especially well after spraying. It's like you threw some cassis syrup over you. So I immediately thought no, that was dirty. But luckily, that disappeared fairly quickly. Just dried up, I thought it was nice and fresh and sweet and also a bit spicy but completely dry, that freshness disappeared a bit. I also think this one smells a bit old women. The scent stays in place though. Mina is described as: Clear scent with citrus notes and a soft, musky scent. Fresh and happy, with a bergamot heart. After just putting it on, I found something. The citrus notes make it fresh but they dry up quickly and leave a somewhat heavier scent. This scent isn't really my thing. I usually go more for fresh and floral and slightly subtle. This one is very present. The quality is good because it is very difficult for me to wash it off. So I'm glad I ordered all four testers because in the end, I like the ones that seemed least good in terms of description. Cleo is the tastiest for me but wears out the fastest.
