I loved it

Since I discovered the Garnier Good dye, I have been really hooked on their proposal: it's not just any dye, but a permanent color that combines many good things: 90% of ingredients of natural origin, without ammonia, a mask-like texture and a finish that has left me very satisfied. The first thing that won me over was his formula. Knowing that it's free of ammonia gives me peace of mind: dyeing your hair at home doesn't have to be synonymous with brutal irritation or hair suffering, and with this dye it shows. In addition, it is enriched with fair trade shea butter, which not only helps to nourish the hair during coloring, but also leaves it visibly healthier and softer after lightening. When I opened the case, I liked that it's not your typical liquid dye. Instead, mix the coloring cream with the developer until you achieve a dense, mask-like texture, which makes the application much easier: it doesn't drip, you can handle it with your hands (it comes with gloves) and it gives you that comforting feeling of “I'm taking care of you while I dye”. The moment of dyeing becomes almost a pleasant ritual: the dye has a very natural scent —Garnier says it is a fragrance of goji berries, orchid and a touch of sandalwood—, and while you let it act (about 30 minutes according to the instructions) it's as if you were applying a nourishing mask, not something aggressive to the scalp. After rinsing, comes the nourishing conditioner included in the kit: the brand recommends letting it act for about 3 minutes for the shea butter to work its magic. Thanks to that, my hair was very soft, shiny and with a very silky touch; it didn't get rough or dry, something that happens to me in other more aggressive permanent dyes. In terms of results, it has covered my gray hair 100% (which is essential for me) and the color looks very vibrant and with natural reflections, not flat or artificial. According to Garnier, its color will last up to 8 weeks visibly, and in my experience that promise is quite close: with normal care (gentle washing, moderate shampoo) I notice that the color is maintained quite well. Better yet: the fact that it is a fairly natural and vegan formula makes it much more friendly to my ecological conscience. Garnier points out that many of its ingredients are of natural origin and that the entire kit has been designed to be more sustainable. But what I really liked is the “feeling” after dyeing: I feel my hair revitalized, shiny, without a feeling of serious damage, and with a color that looks natural and alive. Plus, it doesn't leave my scalp irritated, and for me that's a great relief every time I decide to change or cover my roots.
