<h3>Highly-Stable, Water-Free Solution of 0.2% Pure Retinol</h3>
water-free alcohol-free silicone-free nut-free vegan gluten-free cruelty-free This water-free solution contains 0.2% pure Retinol, an ingredient that can reduce the appearances of fine lines, of photo damage and of general skin aging. While Retinol has been studied extensively, it is irritating to the skin and newer technologies exist that mimic the visible effects of Retinol without causing skin irritation. For this reason, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% instead of this formula. The Ordinary’s portfolio of retinoids includes the following formulations: Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane (Moderate Strength, No Irritation) Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane (High Strength, No to Low Irritation) Retinol 0.2% in Squalane (Low Strength, Moderate Irritation) Retinol 0.5% in Squalane (Moderate Strength, High Irritation) Retinol 1% in Squalane (High Strength, Very High Irritation) Caution: Retinol can cause significant irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, in the early stages of treatment while skin builds tolerance. If you have not used high-strength retinol formulas in the past, we strongly recommend that you start your retinol regimen with our Retinol 0.2% in Squalane and adjust to higher strengths of Retinol 0.5% in Squalane and Retinol 1% in Squalane as your skin builds tolerance. You will achieve the same end results without the unpleasant redness and peeling along the way. Note: Water can affect the stability of retinol. Additionally, plant oils in retinol formulations can trigger lipid peroxidation and can impair retinol integrity. This formula does not contain water, silicones, plant oils or alcohol. Caution: Retinoids can make the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. Sun protection is particularly important when using retinoids. This product must not be used in conjunction with other retinoids including retinol or retinoic acid. This product is not a treatment for acne. Acne-prone skin may experience a temporary increase in acne during the first few weeks of using any form of retinoid including those used in this formulation. Note: When pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to avoid any skincare products containing retinoids such as formulations with Granactive Retinoid or Retinol.
<h3>Directions</h3>
Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Caution: Retinol can cause irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, in the early stages of treatment while skin builds tolerance. If persistent irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Refer to our in-depth guide to patch testing. Retinol 0.2% in Squalane 30ml

When researching retinol it’s a bit scary seeing what is out there and complicated hearing the advice to start skipping days, my memory is bad and I was never going to keep up with that. So finding this at a lower percentage with added squalane to soothe was perfect. It means I can use it daily with no drying and no breakouts and will use this till finish and then move onto the higher percentage. 5 stars!

 Nice retinol, you have to be at the beginning slower since if you start to use it on daily basis it could strip your skin and just make your skin dry. Even its the lowest percentage i used it everyday and had dry skin, i thought the other skincare products are causing this, but it was the retinol. Its a nice thing but you be slower at the beginning. Also i read that if your skin is dry and its peeling off its because the new skin is coming out, so read some articles before you use.

Was very useful. It helped get rid of my hyperpigmentation on my forehead and helped get rid of my dark eyebags. For me it did give me small pimples across the areas I applied it on but overall it was a great product to use. 

Great for hyperpigmentation 

I have been using this for over 12 months and it is now paying off. My wrinkles and fine lines have visibly reduced skin has more elasticity and my skin is much brighter. This is not a quick fix you need to persevere using to see the benefit. I have used more expensive retinol products and not had as good results .A little goes a long way. I later with other products in the Ordinary range to get maximum results. You cant beat the price
