Urban Decay Perversion Mascara 12ml

I've been buying this mascara for about 7 years now and i absolutely love it. It really extends my lashes, it doesn't clump and the bristle brush separates my lashes perfectly. It's really easy to remove and washes off without pulling out your lashes.

This is a cult favourite for a reason! I love some dramatic eyelashes and this delivers every time, my only complaint this time is that I felt it dried out fairly quickly! However I have and will continue to have one in my kit! Super black and the large wand makes it easy to build volume fast!

The bristles are on the chubby side, with slight variations in length. The formula is wet, but not icky like some wetter formula mascaras. Dries quickly enough. Doesn't irritate my eyes. Packaging is pretty, sort of a steel purple color, wand fat with standard shape and easy to hold.

I have naturally short straight eyelashes and am always on the look out for a mascara to give more volume. The brush is big and collects too much mascara, making it very difficult to apply from the roots of the lashes for maximum effect. I always seem to get some on my eyelids and the brush is too large and wet to use on the lower lashes. The tip of the wand is particularly oversaturated even when I wipe it on a tissue, making it hard to apply to the outer corners of my eyes without it looking clumpy. After a few months of use the product has dried up a little and coats my lashes much more evenly, giving a fanned out look. It is a shame the product was so gloopy from the start (to the point of being almost unusable) as it makes my eyelashes look a lot better now but mascara has such a short expiration date. I have very watery eyes and this is one of only a few mascaras that hasn't smudged during the day despite not even being a waterproof formula- very surprising considering how wet it is on application and a real shame it falls so short in other areas. I bought it on offer as part of a set with the Perversion liquid eyeliner and would not repurchase. This seems to be a popular mascara and perhaps it's just not suited to my eyelashes but I've had great success with cheaper mascaras with a similar brush type. I may try other Urban Decay mascaras as the staying power was almost unparalleled.
