Brows are always a hot topic at We Are Eves. How do you make them look fuller? How do you keep them perfectly in shape all day? And what can you do about those stubborn sparse spots that just won’t grow back? According to the experts at Ecuri Beauty, the answer often lies in something surprisingly simple: a good eyebrow serum. But does it really work? And what should you look out for? Read on to find out!
What is an eyebrow serum (and who is it for)?
An eyebrow serum is a liquid treatment you apply daily to help boost the growth and fullness of your brows. It’s perfect if you’ve ever over-plucked, have sparse patches that just won’t grow back, or simply want a bit more volume without having to fill them in or tint them. In other words: pretty much anyone with eyebrows could benefit from it.
How does eyebrow serum work?
Most serums do their job using a mix of powerful ingredients like prostaglandin analogues (to actively stimulate growth), peptides and growth factors (to strengthen the hair follicles), and supportive vitamins. Together, these help your brow hairs stay in place longer, grow thicker, and encourage new hair to come through.
But... applying it isn't enough. Here's how to really get it right:
  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly: Remove any makeup or creams from in and around your eyebrows.
  2. Pat dry: Serum + damp skin = not a good match.
  3. Apply with precision: One dip of the applicator is enough for both brows. Use the brush to draw a thin line along your brow hairline, focusing on areas where growth is sparse.
  4. Let it absorb: Wait a few minutes before applying other products.
  5. Use it every evening: Consistency is key. You’ll usually start seeing results after about 6–8 weeks.
The result? Fuller brows, less hair loss, and a neater, more symmetrical brow game. But beware: not every serum is equally effective. Choose one with proven ingredients like prostaglandin analogues and peptides. Serums containing only biotin or oils are nice for conditioning but don’t expect a wow factor from them.
