#update: after 2 months with Retinol Booster Paula's Choice!! My latest update on this booster: July 1 I'm using this booster serum for 2 months @paulaschoice now. My skin has really been refurbished! I used it in my evening routine, always in combination with a hydrating serum. My evening routine looks like this: day 1: moisturizing toner and/or face mist + moisturizing serum + retinol booster + eye cream+night cream/ sleeping mask. Day 2 no retinol booster but the rest do. Day 3 instead of retinol booster a vit c serum and the rest same. Day 4 no vit c or retinol and the rest. Then repeat this rhythm of a day retinol, a day's rest, a day vit c and a day's rest. I still do masks when my skin needs something extra or if I just want to pamper my skin. ๐๐ I noticed that the booster dries my hands out. Hence the combination with moisturizing serum for my face. Now I also make sure that I use retinol! This routine really does pay off. My complexion is even! Around my mouth and especially my corners of the mouth, it was always a little darker. And I just don't notice that anymore! That's really the biggest difference. It has made me much more comfortable leaving my home without makeup! ๐๐ Update 1: After the first 2 weeks (May 16) Meanwhile, I've been using the booster for 2 weeks. I am very satisfied! Retinol is going to be a lasting addition to my routine ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ I built this product carefully because I have a lot of layers in my routine. I use the Retinol Booster in my evening routine. First time only the booster directly on cleaned skin followed by cream. First impression: it smells a bit of acid ๐๐) The next 2 days my normal routine without retinol (toner + essence + moisturizing serum, eye cream, night cream with a few drops of oil) Day 4 Retinol Booster after a moisturizing essence, finished with cream. Day 5, 6 normal routine without retinol. Day 7 I had toner + essence + hydrating serum mixed with the Retinol Booster and followed by cream. Day 8, 9 no retinol. Day 10 a Kaolin clay mask + routine of day 7. Day 12.13 not. Day 14: Day 7 Routine! What does my skin look like after the first 2 weeks? Good! I don't notice this in less fine lines as I expected. But I notice that my face is much more even in terms of complexion. After the first week of use, I didn't need base makeup products (concealer or foundation). I was able to powder my t-zone, blush highlight bronzer and done!! I really haven't been able to do this for so long because there were always pieces on my face that are darker or lighter than the rest. If I use foundation now, I also mix it with a primer to dilute t. But a whole bunch of coverage I still need!! I did get some white bumps in my pores at first. Just clean up and the day after it's happily gone. I noticed on my hands that retinol can also be drying out: my fingertips were molting a bit ๐๐ so extra hand cream lubricated last 2 weeks. And now I don't have molts anymore. I certainly continue using the Retinol Booster from @paulaschoice Next Step is to see if it matters if I raise the frequency to use the Retinol Booster every other day. I also wanted to add a vitamin C serum in my routine. So figure out what works well for me ๐๐ feel like it! Keep you posted ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ Original Post: May 2, 2020 A retinol-containing product has been on my list of things I would like to try for a while. I read a bit about it, but never knew which% to start with. Thanks to @weareeves & @paulaschoice I now have the chance to try retinol. It would be as good as I'm a big fan of AHA. I have a glycolic acid toner (2%) that I use daily and an AHA peeling mask for 1 to 2 times a week. If you have any tips, love!! ๐๐ I'll keep you up to date on how the booster is going to do to me! Thank you so much @weareeves & @paulaschoice for this super fun surprise ๐๐

Super strong stuff!
Very concentrated stuff, so mix with a cream because otherwise your skin will completely shed (experienced). Then apply extra well with SPF! I use it 1 to 2 times a week in the evening. In the longer term, I see a positive result with an AHA exfoliant, anti age day and night cream, vitamin C serum (less fine lines, tighter skin, no impurities). But of course I use multiple products at the same time

I (30+) use this product for about a short month (daily). Of course, it's hard to confirm whether it actually counteract fine lines and wrinkles because you don't know how many wrinkles you would have had without this product. Maybe I'd like to see it, maybe it's real but my smile wrinkles seem less deep. I also notice difference in my skin; less pimples, my coarse pores are less present and my skin feels fit. The product itself is comfortable to use, with the pump you have the right amount and don't waste any product. It looks a bit like egg yolk, that's how it feels but doesn't stick at all. My skin absorbs it quickly, without feeling too greasy or too dry. No bad smell or shiny face. I'm definitely going to use this product for the time being!

It seemed too good to be true... And it was.
I had read so much about the miracle ingredient Retinol that I wanted to try it too. Which Paula's Choice promises: โReduces wrinkles and fine lines. Let the skin behave younger and look more evenโ. Although I'm โonlyโ 23, I want this too. It also seems to help against pimples, which sometimes bothers me. Retinol you have to build up slowly, so I did a good job. Started 1 time a week, then 2, 3 and eventually every night. Of course, sunburn done neatly every morning, because this stuff can cause you to get a lot of burns. Unfortunately, this strict schedule wasn't really worth it. I see little improvement in my skin: not wrinkles but also not acne. While this little bottle was pretty pricey. Too bad! However, the texture is fine, a kind of serum that absorbs quickly and so you don't have to wait long for your night cream to get over it.
