Clarins' Crème Jeunesse des Mains At the beginning of April I received a tube of hand cream from the French brand Clarins. It claims to soften, protect, moisturize, strengthen nails and rejuvenate hands. A laundry list of beautiful promises. The ingredients include shea butter, sesame oil and japanese nut bee. Since my hands are nineteen years young and not so dry, I pointed to my mother as a test subject. She has very chapped, rough hands that clearly belong to an outsider and nails that tend to split lengthwise. In other words “Crème Jeunesse des Mains” underwent a baptism of fire. THE FIRST BLOB When the first blob ended up on mom's work hands, a few things became clear: ▪ You only need a pietsie bit of this hand cream. ▪ We flew a walm to the freshest, luxurious scent. Mom couldn't stop smelling her hands. ▪ The cream absorbs at lightning speed. Nothing shiny feet, nothing fat prints on your tea glass. TRIAL The sun shone nice that day so we worked in the garden. From rooting in damp earth, hands dry out quickly. No better way to test Clarins' hand cream. This time we squeezed a little whistle out of the tube, rubbed our hands well and 'the game was on'. Of course, the cream did not lasted for hours under such shocking conditions. But both mom and I had the idea that because the cream absorbs so quickly, we were less likely to experience a dry, pulling feeling. THREE WEEKS LATER my mom uses the cream every day. Her hands are much less rough and the chafy spots have disappeared. Her hands still show that she's not a teenager but that would be odd too, haha. Against the vertically split nails, it was expected to do nothing. If anyone knows anything about that, PLEASE HELP because it's a lot of trouble. We are both fond of the scent of Crème Jeunesse des Mains. I actually only use the cream after I've kneaded my bread but think Mom deserves this little luxury more. CONCLUSION Mother's words: Clarins' wonderfully scented Crème Jeunesse des Mains works better against my dry hands than other hand creams I've tried but is retarded expensive. If I had been a charming, rich lady, I'd probably buy the hand cream again. The final words say everything. P.S it wasn't the gift set I received, but just the hand cream
