Hermès Barenia Eau de Parfum 30ml

I was lucky enough to try this before it came out and the Hermès staff are some of the kindest people, and provided me with a sample. This is one that grew on me as I kept revisiting the sample, wasn't wowed while I was in store, it was nice but felt forgettable. Though as time went I began to notice more notes and came to appreciate the complexity of it, it can be hard at first to fully recognise everything here as Hermès are great at creating smooth blends. But over time I began to realise this was actually quite a unique fragrance, it is not very often that you see miracle berry or white ginger lily in a perfume. And althought not officially listed, I pick up a distinct tea note in this fragrance, reminiscent of black tea, it is very light, elegant and soothing. It is very well balanced chypre-style of fragrance, nothing immediately jumps out at you and all the notes co-exist perfectly.

A few months ago I had the opportunity to smell Barenia by Hermès in perfumery and I really fell in love with it. Fortunately for my birthday my fiancé decided to give it to me and since then it has become my favorite perfume. What I appreciate most about this essence is the fact that it is unconventional and that it does not follow the current trend of scents that are too sweet, but it has a strong personality and I recommend it to all those who want to stand out.
