No idea what's the point

Because my favorite hair product has been discontinued, I am now trying several popular heat protectors and leave-in products. Chi seemed like a good brand, so I ordered a mini to try it out. The packaging is very cute, but there is little info on what to use this product for, nor does it say anything about heat protection. I first tried it on dry hair because my hair was dry and sticky. It smells nice, but it is very greasy, it has not made my hair itself greasier but a little less dry. The second time I used it after washing, and quite a lot. When blow-drying, I didn't notice the product, my hair seemed to fluff more! After brushing a few times, it is now just as normal, but it shines a little more. Too bad, but this isn't what I was looking for, or it might not suit my hair. My hair is wavy and I blow dry it straight, but unfortunately this often causes a lot of frizz.
