Lanolips 101 Ointment 15g

I will NEVER use another product on my lips and I’m not sorry. I picked this up during lockdown, as my lips had become super dry. I wasn’t sure if it was due to a change in environment, or something but after years of religiously applying carmex (and it working) something changed. I tried a few other lip products, blistex burts bees etc, but had no improvement. Read an article and this one was mentioned so thought I’d up my budget and I’m so happy I tried this.  It’s around £11 for a tube but you only need the tiniest amount as it warms on your skin, and lasts on your lips for ages. I no longer feel the need to apply product every 30 mins, in fact I probably only use this 3/4 times a day and my lips stay hydrated for hours. It’s also great for dry skin on other areas like cuticles!! There’s no perfume which I love, and the lanolin ingredient is naturally derived from sheep’s wool so no nasty chemicals!  I will buy this product again and again and again.  

So bloody great! I love this balm as an all rounder but my lips love it. Great for cracked and sore lips and it is very well made. I like that the original has no fragrance. The price point is abit steep considering how many times I replace it but I always look for it on offer.

This product became a staple in my routine, especially during winter. I usually use it for my lips but every time I feel a rough patch on my skin, I put it on. It really works overnight. It’s quite thick and greasy, for lack of a better word. I also use it for lip prep before putting lipstick and the lipstick just glides after. Highly recommended!

I love this ointment because it does exactly what it says it will on the box. Locks in hydration and envelopes your lips with a smooth salve that has a shine to it but isn’t sticky and doesn’t leave your lips dry long after it’s disappeared. A great one for a handbag, I’ve knocked a star off because I usually hate using my fingers to apply lip balm as it’s not the most hygienic way. Apply on your lips while you’re doing the rest of your makeup and then wipe up when you apply your lipstick, preps the lips so so well!
