The finish of this lipstick is not completely matte for me, but has a light creamy finish. At least it feels fine when applied, glides smoothly over the lips and does not dry out the lips. Dark shades like this can sometimes apply a bit of patchy or accentuate sheetlets. So tip is to have the lips nicely smooth before you put such a beautiful dark shade on the lips. I used a MAC lip pencil in the color Cyber World to outline the lips and prevent the color flaps. The shelf life is good and the color stained the lips too. As a result, you don't have to update immediately after drinking. It's better to update after a bite to eat. With such a dark lip colour I like with my pale autumn face to add some extra warmth to the face with a bronzer, blush and soft shades of eyeshadow. That's how I avoid a vampirella look.
