Max Factor Black False Lash Epic Waterproof Mascara 13.1 ml

I got this mascara as part of a gift set, and was surprised by how good it is! Easy to apply - no clumps on the wand! Lashes stayed lifted and curled with this mascara so would definitely recommend!

My lashes look like false lashes with this mascara, one of my favs. Creates volumes, adds length and doesn’t budge or flake off at all! The colour is very dark which I love and I whenever I use this mascara I apply it with many layers. It’s amazing. 100% recommend, especially if you’re looking for a dark mascara to create contrast.

I get asked everywhere which mascara I use because my lashes look fake 😅. So it’s safe to say the product delivers the results of its namesake! I’ve been using this for years! I love the brush design, though I do sometimes wipe excess mascara off the brush onto the rim of the body as it can come out clumpy and be difficult to pay with. That said I love the consistency and the clumps aren’t dry, it’s just excess product. I typically apply 2/3 coats allowing the product to dry on my lashes between coats. The product holds up really well for me in the colder months (which isn’t an issue in the uk 😂), but in the summer months where I have oily eyes the product begins to breakdown and transfer on my eyelids or crumble throughout the day. I have tried the waterproof version in hope it was sweaty eyes instead of oily but the same problem occurred. Despite this, I still love the product, and as a bonus you get more product in the bottle than other competitors so more for your money! 🙌

In my opinion, three things make up an excellent mascara. -The mascara not coming off when you don't want it off -The mascara coming off when you want it off - The voluminous effect it has on the lashes This mascara gets 2 out of 3 based on my criteria. Living in the Netherlands I need mascara that lasts and will not make me look like a raccoon after walking or biking in the rain. However, I need a mascara that is not too rough/ harsh on my eyelashes and does not cause them to fall out when removing my makeup after a long day. For me, these are the two most significant conditions when choosing a mascara, but at the end of the day, mascara is worn to enhance the appearance of the lashes. This is the part where the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara, unfortunately, did not live up to its expectations. In spite of the promising name, I cannot say that it gave off a false lash effect, though the mascara worked well on my eyes. Therefore, if you want a more subtle effect for a more everyday look, this is the perfect mascara for you, but if you like your looks more dramatic, I fear this mascara will disappoint you, as it will not offer you the results you expect.
