Petal Fresh citrus shampoo
To be honest, I didn't know the brand. In the 2023 Spring Beaute et Vogue box, I received a Petal Fresh shampoo and conditioner but I never tried it out. I've been a little hesitant about trying out new shampoos since I tried a Yves Rocher shampoo and my locks never looked the same again. It's that I have more hair problems these days, otherwise I'm not a daredevil when it comes to my hair. After some research into the Petal Fresh brand, I dared to do it. It is an American brand from California founded in 2002 by Jason Freeman (who also founded BCL Spa at the same time). The products are mainly based on organic herbs and are free from parabens and animal testing. Petal Fresh takes a holistic approach in which natural products and a healthy lifestyle are in balance. A bit floaty? Perhaps but also safe to use. Because I have been suffering from dry & frizzy hair lately, I chose the ultra shine shampoo to restore healthy and vibrant hair. I bought this version at my favorite store, TK Maxx. A 355 ml bottle for €3.99. (Normally, such a bottle costs around €6) The shampoo is great to use. Foams okay and the scent is fresh citrus and quite pleasant. My locks feel clean, airy and fresh. But yes, that will be over after 2 days. Yes, I do believe it's all natural, good & healthy for the hair, but my locks need more. I was forced to wash my hair less but it shouldn't look like I was less of my hair either 😅. In addition, I don't have the idea that it really does more in terms of recovery. It is a great shampoo but not for my type of hair or my frizzy hair anyway. It is also a minimal improvement in combination with the Petal Fresh conditioner (for frizzy hair). Maybe I would buy it again because I love strong citrus scents. By the way, my brothers really loved the shampoo, because the shampoo ran out quite quickly 🙄.
