TOM FORD Signature Fragrances Grey Vetiver Eau de Parfum

It's clean, inoffensive, can be worn at any time of year and might just be the most perfect men's office scent. Some vetiver fragrances can get a little...funky. Funky in a good way, well at least to me, funky like the smell of rain, funky like an old tweed blazer in the back of the closet. I enjoy that. Vetiver as a note is not one that will garner many compliments, but it's a fragrance that, if blended well, can add depth and character to just about anybody. Grey Vetiver is what I'd class as a modern vetiver. It smells masculine and classy without that aged fougere funk that lingers around many of the green fragrances you may have found in your father's bathroom cabinet. It smells of dry wood, a clean soapy base, maybe a little moss in there, oh and there's definitely citrus in the initial sniff. It's a fragrance you'd expect a successful man to wear at work and whilst on a hike. Performance is great, it's not a beast for projection but it does linger and sit close to the skin. You'll smell it on your coat a few weeks after wearing. I've worn it in cold weather and let the woody notes provide the warmth and, interchangeably, I've worn it in warm weather and allowed that bright citrus blast to take me to the med. It's that versatile. It's a modern masterpiece, and that a rarity. I think everyone should own it and have it in their collection, male or female, I've seen some women absolutely wearing this with confidence and been blown away at how good it smelled. Get it. What are you waiting for?

The opening is a fresh burst of citrus but leave a lovely woody finish. The best setting for it falls in day time settings in warmer weathers. No nonsense fragrance for work and outdoor activities to keep you fresh and not very loud. Not 5 stars in my opening due to the longevity of it, requiring a couple extra sprays throughout the day and gives me a slight headache if I smell for too long.
