YSL Y EDP

Scent: 8/10 - The apple, sage, and amberwood are the stars of the show for me here, and I really like this combo. Fresh without being too clean, just sweet enough without actually being "sweet", aromatic, amber-y but not obnoxiously like Sauvage. I can see how some people get a slightly synthetic vibe, but it's subtle enough to where it still blends in nicely with the natural accords. Longevity: 8.5/10 - I don't own this, but just a few days ago I went to my local Sephora and applied about 4 sprays right before a 10-hour work shift (and not a desk job by any means), and could still smell it at the end of the night. Projection: 8/10 - Garnered attention (positive and neutral) from both women and men all around me. Uniqueness: 6/10 - It's a blue fragrance, yes, but it certainly smells more interesting and special than Sauvage, BdC, or Dylan Blue. Versatility: 9/10 - Can't really imagine an occasion in which this would be inappropriate, honestly. Maybe not on a really hot day outside? Mass Appeal: 8.5/10 - Might not be anyone's #1 fragrance, but most people are going to think it smells really nice. It's blended so well, and doesn't have any weird notes that could turn anybody off. Overall: 8/10 - As much as I love unique and challenging scents that stand out in a crowd, this is such a solid, well-made designer scent that shits all over the other blue scents, that I have to love it.

Compliments galore

This fragrance is not only a compliment magnet, seriously is the fragrance I’ve had most comments on but it’s in really easy to wear. I happily put this on whatever I’m doing if I leave the house. Sometimes I find myself sitting at home and I’ll spray it a few times just for the sake of smelling something really appealing.

My signature scent

YSL Y has quickly become one of my signature scents. Honestly, it just fits every occasion: date night, the office, or a night out. It’s one of those fragrances that feels versatile. The first spray hits you with this kick, but as it settles, it leans into something more mature and magnetic. I usually go for 4–6 sprays (a few more if I’m feeling bold), and it easily lasts me the whole day with a bit of projection. People often notice it and ask me what I’m wearing. For me, it makes me feel confident and put together; It’s like the finishing touch to my outfits.
