Dermatitis perioralis/periocular 😱 Today after months diagnosed dermatitis. In other words skin inflammation, it's especially on the eyelids and less around the mouth. The GP thought about eczema and prescribed a corticosteroid ointment. On the one hand it seemed to diminish the complaints, but after 1 day of stopping it came back 10 times as much. In the photo you can see relatively quiet skin on the one hand, and on the other my skin stop corticosteroid ointment after 1 day. So that ointment turns out to be aggravating it. Now acutely quit that ointment. Antibiotics, a metronidazole ointment and so-called cold cream without perfume are prescribed. These hopefully deal with skin inflammation. My skin needs rest now. In the coming time, use only the prescribed ointments, then return to the dermatologist and consult about the weather can use regular (non-medicinal) cosmetics. What I learned: do not walk around with skin problems for too long and ask for a referral to a specialist such as a dermatologist in time if necessary.
