I use it on towel-dried hair after gently combing my hair. I turn it on position 1 and can start right away. I roll in the end of my hair toward my head and hold that for a few seconds. I get nice blows from that. You can also use it for volume alone, so you don't have to wrap it in your hair. I'll be done in 5 to 10 minutes. You can't really make curls what it is a thick head, but you have curling irons for that (takes me too long). With just a little bit of volume spray, it stays comfortable all day long. It drops slightly but that gives a more natural look. It is light and is also well in the hand. The right photo is the result at 20 hours after a full day.
