Not recommended if you have fine hair!

I bought this curling iron because my old one doesn't heat properly anymore. This curling iron is so piping hot that you can't hold the end of the curling iron! I turned in the lock with my old pliers and then held the tip (to feel how I had caught the pliers) but with this babyliss, I immediately had a blister. The curling iron is sturdy, but with my thin, brittle hair, I'm afraid I'll burn all my hair. So I don't use it anymore and don't recommend it to people with fine hair! Babyliss doesn't want to take it back and says the curling iron is protected against burning!!!
