Good for the environment, but not for my mouth

Hi! The Colgate bamboo toothbrush is really a flop to me. The hairs are too soft to me and the 'wood' is going to hurt my corners of the mouth. After brushing, I suffer from my teeth as well as my lips and corners of the mouth. The only positive thing about this toothbrush is that it's recyclable. Anyone have another experience with this toothbrush or toothbrush you would recommend? X
