Hydrating, but not anti-ageing

This is a thick, luxurious night cream which apparently contains natural skin repairing and regenerating ingredients. It has a slightly funky smell, which I don't mind, assuming it's due to the lack of artificial fragrances. I've been applying two pumps to my cleansed face before bed for some time now, and it does feel lovely as it goes onto the skin - very silky, very soothing, and as if it's forming a protective barrier. Despite the somewhat heavy formula, it hasn't made my skin more oily at all, and I haven't experienced any irritation or increased break-outs during use. However - as is so often the way! - I can't say I've noticed any actual improvement in my skin. I don't look younger, my fine lines are still there, and I haven't noticed any increased plumpness. All this cream seems to do is moisturise my skin, and the same can be said for many cheap but perfectly good natural moisturisers off the shelf from the pharmacy. It is a nice product, and I've enjoyed using it, but I couldn't justify buying it again due to the lack of any real results. I'll revert to a cheaper alternative which does the same job.
