Bourjois Healthy Mix

Im 46 and always tired looking, i bought this foundation as its a brand ive always wanted to try but not so easy to come by in shops since they pulled out of the uk in 2019 but superdrug brought the brand back instores. I applies really well even coverage evens up my skin tone. I really like it i wish i tried this sooner im really impressed with this drug store brand. I used their concealer too. Yse with a brush, sponge or with fingertips.

One of the best foundations I’ve ever used. I’ve repurchased it multiple times over the years.  The gel texture is super light and glides on easily, leaving a very radiant looking skin that’s perfect for people with dry skin.  It has a light to medium coverage. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a very inclusive shade range.  

It has been my everyday foundation for 4 years now. Absolutely love the light and easily blendable formula. 1 pump gives a sheer coverage which I like, but if you are looking for full coverage, you may need more than 1 pump.  I have tried the serum based formula also from the same line, and I can’t fault with either. In love with both formulas. I wore it right after sunscreen and it gave a beautiful glow. Doesn’t feel dry on skin or cake. Skin feels moisturised for long inspire of wearing this foundation for hours.  Its main ingredients as marketed are-  1. Vitamin C - helps hydrating, brightening, helps fade hyperpigmentation, said to promote collagen production and protect against sun damage.  2. Vitamin B5 - helps hydrate & retain moisture, reduces inflammation, promotes skin healing and regeneration.  3. Vitamin E - has antioxidant properties and acts both as humectant and emollient. It is shown to help with eczema too.  You may have to retouch it after 2-3 hrs alongside your spf. This new formula has more range of shades than it did previously. I use 54N Beige and it suits perfectly. A must try product for dry, ageing skin in my opinion.

I was excited to sample this, as I only wear light foundations. The colour I received was just a touch too light for my summer shade, but good enough! It went on quite nicely with a beauty blender and had a light amount of coverage. However, my skin was a bit dry and the foundation made that VERY visible. Overall, it had a nice feel, a soft scent and would be a nice summer foundation. I still saw some discoloration and imperfections after one application which made me feel as if I should add an additional layer. Personally, I would prefer something with a little more consistent coverage that was more dry-skin friendly. But as a light foundation there is absolutely nothing to hate on!
