In the winter period, my skin tends to be a little more sensitive than normal due to low humidity, chapped weather and cold, among other things. This exfoliant from Hungarian Geek and Gorgeous contains 3.2% PHA and 0.8% BHA. PHA is actually the smaller sister of the better known AHA, but it exfoliates less violently and also has the property that it attracts moisture. It is therefore less likely to cause irritation and redness than an AHA. The added BHA also works exfoliating and has antibacterial properties and cleanses the pores. I am very satisfied with the Calm Down exfoliant! I apply it myself with a cotton pad to cleansed skin. I only exfoliate in the evening and then every other night. My skin reacts well to this exfoliant. No redness, no irritations, no dryness. My skin looks calm, with an even skin texture and a nice glow. This exfoliant is really a must have for sensitive skin or for the skin that is not yet used to exfoliating.
