Aging skin, Large pores, Oily skin
Great for Oily Skin
Used on combination-oily skin as an everyday cleanser. Works great, doesn't dry skin out but leaves feeling clean. This does lather up compared to Cetaphil so it feels like you can use less!

Acne, Oily skin
Only thing that has helped me
From the moment I started using this cleanser, I noticed a shift in how my skin felt. My skin is blemish-prone (jawline, chin, sometimes cheeks), and I’ve tried a lot of different washes that promised results but left me disappointed. Since I incorporated this cleanser into my routine, it’s become the only thing that actually feels like it’s helping. What I love: • The formula includes 2 % salicylic acid and niacinamide, as well as the characteristic ceramides that the brand emphasizes. That means it not only treats active blemishes and blackheads, but is designed to respect the skin barrier rather than just stripping everything off. • After cleansing, my skin genuinely feels cleaner and less congested. The oiliness that often builds up midday has reduced considerably; my pores feel less clogged and my skin doesn’t have that “heavy” dull look I used to see. • I haven’t found a product that I trust more right now for the “breakout cycle” phases (hormonal, stress-related, etc.). This wash is the one I reach for when I feel things about to flare. • It’s gentle enough for daily use (morning & night for me) and the texture and finish are smart — it cleanses properly without feeling like it’s leaving my skin tight or overly dry. Many acne-targeted cleansers leave a kind of squeaky clean feeling that I don’t like; this one avoids that. • The brand notes it “reduces the appearance of blackheads and blemishes” and “leaves comfortable, refreshed and healthy-looking skin” in a clinical study. I feel I can attest to that based on my experience. ⸻ What to know / a few caveats: • If your skin is normal to dry, you’ll want to ensure you follow with a good moisturizer. Because the salicylic acid is active, this cleanser can feel a little drying if your skin barrier is already compromised. Some reviewers report flakiness or dryness when used too often. • It’s not magic overnight. For me, the best results came after consistent use for a few weeks. The frequency of blemishes reduced and my texture improved. So patience is key. • Always follow with a barrier-friendly routine (moisturiser + SPF in the day) — this cleanser does a lot of the “heavy work” on the blemishes/oil side, but your skin still needs support. • If you experience irritation, redness, or burning (especially if you use other actives like retinol or strong exfoliants), ease into it — start with once a day or every other day and monitor how your skin responds. ⸻ In short: I can genuinely say that the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser is the only product that’s helped me so far in treating my blemish-prone skin in a consistent, sustainable way. It’s now a staple in my routine, one I trust. If I were recommending just one cleanser for someone who’s been trying loads of washes with minimal effect — this would be it. If you’d like, I could share how I use it in my full skin routine (what I pair it with, morning vs evening) so you can see how it might fit with your skin too!

The best on the market
CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser is a gentle yet effective option for anyone struggling with mild acne or congested skin. It leaves my face feeling clean but not stripped, thanks to the inclusion of niacinamide and ceramides that balance out the salicylic acid. After a few weeks of consistent use, I noticed fewer breakouts and a smoother texture without the dryness that many acne cleansers cause.
