Haarlemmerbruin certainly makes you tan faster, and you get a nice shine. In that regard, it does what it promises. But the smell is really not pleasant — quite strong and it lasts a long time. What I also found annoying is that the oil stays on your skin. It barely absorbs, leaving you feeling so sticky, sweaty all the time. If you're just going for tanning and the smell or feeling doesn't bother you, it might be something for you. Personally, I would prefer a lighter product that feels better.
