Great to try which color suits you

The Dear Dahlia Velvet Lip Mousse mini sets come in 3 versions: nude tones, mostly pink tones and more red tones. I bought the set with the nude colors and the pink colors myself. This is because I'm never so good at relying on pictures to choose the right color that suits me, even though Dear Dahlia has multiple photos of what the colors look like on various skin colors. Based on that, I bought Marmalade (full size). Unfortunately for me, that turned out to have more orange in the color than I could see. That's why it's ideal that these sets are there. The full-size lip mousse is in fact quite expensive at €31, - each of 6.5 ml. Nevertheless, the sets of minis are certainly not cheap: €18, - for 6 1ml pieces. And this brings us to the biggest disadvantage: 1ml is really VERY little. Of course, it depends on how thick you lubricate it, but keep in mind that you can lubricate it up to 10 times per mini. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. The minis are small and don't hold very well. The text on the bottles is difficult to read (including what color it is) due to the limited size. The Teddy Bare set contains the colors Buddy, Marmalade, Plush, Butterscotch, Cozy and Button. These are the more nude tones. The Best Seller Collection set includes the colors Seduction, Bordeaux, Teddy, Guava, Haute and Cancan. The lip mousse itself is soft and provides a matte finish. The thicker the layer, the deeper the color, so you decide the intensity yourself. It doesn't dry out your lips and stays in place. However, timely updating is useful because it is not resistant to eating or drinking and leaves you with a false print on the outside edge of your lips. The mousse can also be used as a blush or eye shadow according to Dear Dahlia, although I haven't tried that myself. You hardly feel it on your lips, which is great. It does have a slight 'cosmetic' scent and taste, but that is not annoying. Where I previously thought I was in the right place with Marmalade, Teddy appears to be my color. Happy with it!! Dear Dahlia is 100% vegan and cruelty free. So no animal experiments, but nice lubrication.

Adorable test set

The Dear Dahlia products are quite pricey and I find picking out colors over the Internet quite difficult so I like that they offer a sample set. The jars are very cute, small but enough to use a few times. This set contains mostly nudes. I expected 2 shades to be too cool for me and wouldn't look like me but actually I like all shades very much! The formula is nice to use and has a nice velvet finish. The lips do not dry out even though it is slightly matte. The opacity of the colors and how long it lasts could be slightly better. For the price, that is disappointing. If you like the finish and the formula, I would spend my money on the unleashia hug velvet shade or the tints of romand. I really like the full size packaging. Should I really fall in love with a color after wearing it a few times I consider full size but I think I'll buy another unleashia color.
