Mascara effect and flaking

Makes bolder and voluminous lashes HOWEVER, there must have been a change in the formulae or something because it FLAKES onto my cheeks. I bought a few as the first 2 I had never flaked. But now I’m left with brand new mascaras that gives a desired effect but leaves black dots on my face later in the day which is not ideal…
